Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-Bass (Raised A) Mandolin Strings The FV-500 is one ofOur Antiquity for P Bass, but with taller A string poles for a compensated string to string balance. Fender used this pole stagger for one year during the late 50s to compensate for the lack of output from the A string. Like the originals, we use 0. 625 rod magnets on the A string for better overall balance. Otherwise, this pickup has the same look and sound as our standard Antiquity for P Bass, and it is built using the same traditional techniques.
