Rat King Framed Display Wet Specimens Need it soonerA rare phenomena first documented nearly 500 years ago, a Rat King occurs in nature when three or more rats (or mice) become entangled with one another via their tails. It is unclear exactly what causes the knot, whether it be the erratic and spontaneous movement of the rats' long, fleshy tails or the presence of a sticky substance like tree sap or dirt.
