the wine splashes down on the palate with an amazing mouthfeel

The 2016 Barolo Mosconi is a gorgeous wine made all the more remarkable given that Mosconi can't really be said to be a top-level site

The palate has more density than a lot of Chianti Classico and is quite insistent in terms of grip

Notes of earth, dark berries and the sauvage introduce textured, supple and very round medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the mildly austere finish that delivers acceptable depth and length.
