I like the balance and would suggest allowing this 5 to 8 years of cellaring in order for better complexity to develop

spice and tobacco

and both should evolve positively over the next decade or more

Mugneret Gibourg, Vosne-Romanee La Colombiere Brut Zero The 2021 Chardonnay Sigrid is(from a . 86 ha parcel of ~80 year old vines). Here the wonderfully fresh and pure nose of plum and black raspberry displays plenty of spice nuances, in particular star anise and sandalwood, along with a hint of crushed fennel. The medium bodied flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the straight Vosne villages, though they are notably finer on the lingering, balanced and energetic finale.
