Here too there is a relatively supple mid-palate mouthfeel to the slightly finer broad- shouldered flavors that possess a gorgeous texture
with lingering spiciness and only a hint of tannins
I suspect that the recent bottling has upset the balance somewhat and my rating offers the benefit of the doubt that a year of bottle aging will allow this to better harmonize
earthy and spicy black fruit aromas that are a clearly pinot but the vintage is also well in evidence
all wrapped in a powerful and very firm finish
