Niels Erik From founded a silversmith's shop at the age of just 23 in 1931. It was not until 1944 that he began to stamp his own name on his jewellery. From is particularly known for his beautiful works, art nouveau jewellery in silver. These are often set with semi precious stones or amber. In the 1950s, From began to produce more modern jewellery, in a more functionalist style.
