Children's Aid Day was introduced in 1904 to support the conditions of vulnerable children. An annual market day would be held to raise money. From the beginning, the Children's Aid Day was fortunate to gain support from well known figures, such as Herman Bang and Betty Nansen and later Dirch Passer and Lone Hertz.
