Clear glazed on the inside

and formed into a pierced rim for a bowl which was thrown on the wheel

The cobalt wash glaze leaves evidence of brush marks appearing as a watery surface

Finally the piece is dipped inside and outside in a white gloss glaze

Inspirations from the natural world is where I turn when I am stuck on a piece. This winter I brought Amaryllis into my home, and the delicate rim on the Picotee blossoms are echoed in this vase adding, a look twice point of interest with a red orange rim on an otherwise soft feathery form.
