The firm was taken over by the Royal Doulton Group during the 1970’s and of their many patterns designed and produced some were transferred to the Royal Albert brand until the brand was discontinued by the Doulton Group
Spoon length: 7 cm
The item is designed with an embossed rope edge underneath the rim resulting in a scalloped effect
Both items are decorated in pattern 8197 which depicts autumn colours of yellow
The bowls are indistinctly marked underneath

The dish has been decorated with a signed Fragonard romance scene. The dish also has gold trim and a scalloped rim. Chapmans Longton Ltd. was founded in 1916 as a subsidiary of Thomas C. Wild & Sons. In 1964 Allied English Potteries acquired The Wild Group and closed Chapmans Longton Ltd. permanently in 1966. The
