In 1908 the firm expanded to the Vale Works in Longton and the Vale trade name began to be used. Later after the royal visit of King George IV and Queen Mary to the Vale Works Royal Vale was officially used. This item is a fine porcelain tea plate designed in the squared shape with scalloped rim and extensively decorated with a gold chintz floral and leaf patterning
