Heart of the Negev Pendant on Beaded Strand tableware • 22k gold and mother-of-pearlMy love of Israel, and the stark beauty of the desert inspired the design for this unique statement piece. To create this pendant, I blended cream color and pink clays from the Negev Desert to create a random patten, and used it to form an organically shaped, contoured heart. After bisque and glaze firings, I added 22 karat gold accents, and fired it a third and final time. It is strung on an opera length (88 cm) strand of hand beaded gold, pearl and
