Jesus appeared to St. Faustina and directed her to "paint an image of him, with the signature: Jesus, I trust in You" (Diary of St. Faustina, 47 48). There have been three Divine Mercy images to date, Divine Mercy Dublin is the fourth. It represents Jesus more in line with the vision of St. Faustina who was disappointed with the painting.
